Charity Football Kits Stolen

A collection of football kits which were destined for poor and disadvantaged children in Kenya are believed to have been stolen.

The 13 football kits were taken from a house in Swansea where they were waiting to be mailed to Kenya, South Wales Police have asked that if they have been taken by mistake for safe keeping could they be handed in at a Police Station.

The football team kits were made up of red and black tops with Tumaini Kwa Watoto written on them, along with the name of the charity Children of Hope and a dove crest.

The team kits were due to be taken to Kenya soon by representatives from the charity.

A South Wales Police spokesperson said: “Should the kits be sold or used they would be easily identifiable due to the distinctive Kenyan wording.”

“The kits were destined for some very deprived children. It is possible that a member of the public has picked up the packages for safe keeping, and we would like very much to get them back.”
